Message From President

I feel grateful to express my happiness and would like to express gratitude to all the NRN members  residing here in Japan, for giving me an opportunity to serve for the greater cause of strengthening  the network among the Nepalese both within and outside the Japan and lead to promulgate some plans and programs that could help our motherland- Nepal’s, progress and prosperity , as the president of NRN Japan.

More than three thousand Nepalese are staying in Japan engaging themselves in various professions and business using their knowledge, expertise and capital. During this they are not only spreading and highlighting the values and principles, cultures and pictures of Nepal in front of the Japanese society but also contributing to enhance the economy of both the countries; Japan and Nepal. At present more than 2000 different companies and more than 4500 restaurants have been running in Japan by Nepalese community.

The facts that Nepalese population More than 70,000 in Japan is the tenth largest among the foreigners in Japan and the largest community from the SAARC region too has proved the friendly relations and connections between the two countries both at the government and peoples level.

Japan and Nepal are in friendly ties for long time back and have been extending the mutual co operation in various fields both at the government and people levels. Japan   has been supporting Nepal in various sector of infrastructure development like; road and bridge constructions   together with their continuous support in health, sanitation, education ,  etc.

In this context we believe that the NRNA Japan , established in 2004 A.D. could contribute much for the economic development of Nepal and to promote the friendly relations between Nepal and Japan to a newer height and NRNA Japan is committed to contribute towards this.

There are many issues of NRN which are still remained to be resolved for the betterment of both NRN and Nepalese society ,that needs to be backed up with the policies , laws, rules and regulations of the government of Nepal regarding the dual citizenship , investment friendly economic policies,  and many more. I am sure with our combined efforts we will be able to achieve our goals of solving all NRN problems and open a door for the new opportunity to contribute for the prosperity of Nepal.

At this I would like to thank all the NRN members of Japan, committee members and others who are continuously showing their solidarity and joining hands for the better NRN movement globally and locally at Japan.

With Best Regards
Sudan Thapa
President 2015-2017
